after long promising and spending massive amounts of mental, physical, emotional, temporal, and spiritual energy... IT IS DONE!

the super-mega-ultra-rockin-championship-edition-hyper-fighting-hop-scotch-beat-em-up-fuck-yeah 90's MIX!!!!!!!!!!

from inception 2 weeks ago to about 8:00PM last night this project took me about a week of compiling all 573 mp3's together, then about 3 days of organizing and catalouging into years, and 2 days to burn all the CD's without stopping to take breaks except to get taco bell and occasionally pee from all the root beer i consumed durring the making of this monster.

this is 573 tracks spanning 31 compact discs and 10 years, from 1990 to 1999, trying to hit as many musical bases as possible.

i am well aware that a few songs where made nowhere in the 1990's and some of them not in the year i put them in. the reason for this is 1) the song wasn't popular till that year despite the release of the album (i.e: the proclaimers, who released i'm gonna be in i believe 1988 but didn't make it till 1993 when their single from their current album was "let's get married". and that song sucks). 2) i always thought that dr. feelgood came out in 1991, not 89, so i comprimised with 1990. 3)i forgot to add 88 lines about 44 women on my 7 volume 80's mix, and i didn't even hear that song till 10 years after it was released anyways, so i filled up dead space on the 1990 disc. (same with that suzanne vega song "tom's diner", i equate that song with that untamed heart movie which i believe came out in 1990, fucking christian slater) 4)there was such an over abundance of tracks in 1994 that i had to move some of them to 1995... either that or it was 1996 and i had to move them to 97... one of those years with a lot of bands riding kurt cobain's corpsey coattails.

a very important notice: no i don't like all of these songs. i actually very much despise some of them, but not enough to disclude them. some songs where slated to be put on, but due to space restraints i had to let go the ones that REALLY just fucking sucked (i.e: pollution/ nookie - limp bizkit) to where i would feel sick to my stomach if i kept them on. and i figured i'd spare myself and everyone else from some aural torture, i mean i already have "i will always love you" on here.

well without further babbling, take a trip with me down amnesia lane... i know i forgot a lot of stuff, but fuck man, for an all encompassing look at the 90's i did as best as i could to keep my eyes on all genres of music and trends that went before our eyes. but if you wanna leave me a note or guestbook message about a certain song i forgot that's cool. but keep in mind, if it's a song that you think was from 1999, chances are i already checked and it was 2000, but don't be afraid to leave a message anyways. well, there you go... i hope that this was fun while informative, inspiring yet not overbearing, and most of all i hope you didn't think it sucked despite the amount of suck that is on there, but more along the lines thought it was brilliant in showing an accurate potrayle of what turbulent times the 1990's where. a decade full of sexual misconduct, smashed bundaries, the end of the cold war, a closer step twoards human rights (that was regressed when that idiot son of an asshole came into office), good humor, the beginning and end of seinfeld, landmarks, shames, blunders, brilliance, advancement in technology, the AIDS epidemic, a step forward into introspection and a step away from indulgence, good times, bad times... and most of all great music that defined a generation of the disenfranchised.
